The late Senator, Dr. Kovit  Putthkayon MD., originally from Chumporn province,  is the founder of  Viphawadee Hospital, Chao Phya Hospital, Vipa-Ram Hospital in Bangkok and The Evergreen Hills Golf Club in Karnchanaburi Province.  He grew up in a large family with a single parent and because of his academic excellence and determination, he was accepted into Siriraj Medical School (Class of 68).  Dr. Kovit has always been remembered by everyone for his good heart and kindness he has shown to everyone who knew him and especially by his subordinates of almost 1,000 staff.  Patients and anyone who were in need for assistance would always think of his kindness and willingness to help others.

Dr. Kovit Putthakayon passed away on December 19, 2003 from heart failure and at the time served the country as Senator.
